Michael Salven has developed a number of new idea’s over 2008 and discussed the performance of the current 08 version with Serpent drivers and Team drivers. Feedback of the drivers is used to take the 960 platform to its next level of development. It was clear that the Serpent drivers are really happy with the current 08 version already, as results also show clearly. So just wait and see how Michael Salven takes the 960 to an even higher level of engineering and performance.
On 6 december 2008 Michael Salven and me, were in China to open a new onroad rc car track.
The really nice new rc onroad track is located in Chengdu, on the central west side of China, a city of close to 15 million people.
Thomas and Jun, both owners from the track and also of newly opened rc shop LOPO RC, invited Serpent for this event.
Modellsport, with owner Michael Wopfner, is taking up the sole distribution for Austria.
In the rc racing scene for many years, so lots of experience available. Modellsport has been active for Serpent for a few months already and has most items in stock to service all Serpent and other customers.

The 3rd round of the North German regionals and a German national qualification round took place in Hildesheim last week. There were 23 racers in attendance and after qualifying it was Jens Stark on pole followed by Lars Hoppe, Juergen Stark and Michael Paetz taking the direct final qualifying spots.

Former 1:1 scale Formula Renault race winner Keith Dempsey scored his first big rc race win over the weekend when the Team Serpent Ireland driver won the sixth & final round of the RCCAOI Irish 1:10 200mm National Championships at the St. Annes track in Dublin.
Chris Lawlor claimed his first ever nitro touring car title in style over the weekend when he claimed his second win of the season to secure the ORCA 1:10 200mm Championship at the St. Annes Park track in Dublin.
With one round remaining Michael Byrne wrapped up the ORCA Championship in Ireland over the weekend with a faultless drive to his third win of the series at the St.Annes Park track driving his Serpent 960.
Promising young Swiss driver Shasa Lackner took the biggest title of his career on Sunday when he was crowned the 2008 EFRA European 1:8 Onroad Junior Champion in Valencia, Spain.
The Serpent 960 '08 driver finished a very creditable 29th overall from the 129 car field to claim the title for the higest placed driver under 17 years of age.
